The San Fernando Valley Chapter of AACN. In 1970, a group of nurses founded an organization called the San Fernando Valley Coronary Care Nurses' Association. By 1972, at its inception as a chartered chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, this group was actively fostering professional growth of critical care nurses through quality educational programs and effective communication.
